Eruptive History

There is data available for 1 confirmed Holocene eruptive periods.

[ 1956 Jul 15 ± 545 days ] Discredited Eruption

A low platform formed sometime between 1 February 1955 and 1 January 1958, attributed by Baker (1967) to possible dome intrusion, is thought to be an avalanche deposit (Verwoerd et al. 1976). New K-Ar dates of 0.4-0.5 Ma indicate that the platform represents a landslide deposit rather than a recent eruption (Prestvik 1982).
